About Us

A.W.A.K.E International Endowment, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)agency based in the United States and Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa, that offers; mentoring programs, education, promotion of health awareness, economic assistance and recreation for women and their communities, starting in the US with community outreach and extending to Sierra Leone and other African countries through fundraising, networking and collaboration to support war victims (of diamond related conflict) and other less fortunate women achieve progressive goals and enhance their futures.
  
We work to empower women of potential by giving them much needed tools, micro-loans, the gift of knowledge, mentoring and counselling; in an effort to help them develop marketable skills, as well as social awareness to encourage economic development and community well-being through creative strategy and educated decision making.   

 A.W.A.K.E. International Endowment hopes to foster a commitment to the development of women by promoting pro-social friendships and reasserting a sense of hope in long term future progress and community growth through an integrated international networking system committed to progress through information sharing and dedication to the wellbeing of the planet and its people. 

Our program will create educational, vocational and recreational opportunities for women of all ages and their families (with special consideration to teenage and single mothers) to afford them the hope of living a secure future with a sense of pride, optimism and accomplishment.
